Lighthouse on Caldey Island, Pembrokeshire
SUMMER 2010: "Access to digital technology which is affordable, has changed the way images are taken and viewed. It has put the recording of everyday life, formerly the preserve of the professional, within reach of anyone who has a digital camera, or camera phone. Crucially, you can now review how that image is presented almost immediately".

1: Unusual local events are always worth attending, like this colourful and musical Hindu celebration in Windermere.
2: An overcast day
is still full of possibilities. Tenby Harbour photographed at low tide
shot from an elevated vantage point. The coffee and cakes in the little cafe with this birds' eye view of the bay
were rather good too!
3: A rough day at the beach: light, colour and composition make this shot.
4: Check the white balance (WB) - bright conditions require the 'full sun' setting.
This farm is in the Coniston Fells, Lake District.
5: Severn swans go upriver: early morning shots can be rewarding. The noise the birds make as they fly
alerted me to their arrival and I had time to prepare the camera and to frame them between the trees.
